The Mary Black Fund was established in 1982 to honor Mary E. Black, an internationally known author, teacher and weaver.
Money from this fund is available annually as a bursary, or bursaries, to all active ASH members for the promotion and advancement of spinning and/or weaving. Previous recipients.
The Mary E. Black Fund Committee, which consists of the ASH Treasurer and other members of the Executive, will review applications on a first-come, first served basis. Bursaries are awarded at the discretion of this Committee.
All decisions are final. Awards will be available once every two fiscal years, running from April 1st to March 31st. Individual awards will not exceed $300 and the total annual awards will not exceed $600.
