Join the Atlantic Spinners and Handweaver’s Guild in our yearly field trip where we will be visiting Dover Farm in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. Farmers Veronica and John will tell us about their journey in bringing these rarer breeds to Canada, and we will get to visit with their Valais Blacknose, Wensleydale and Gotland sheep. Time will be available to visit their farm shop and fibre emporium where they sell their fleeces, yarn, wool locks, and specialty fibres.

Afterwards we will be meeting at a local restaurant for a group lunch (location to be confirmed), and then move on to Sisterhood Fibres for a demo on how to spin Angora (bunny) fibre.

We will be meeting at Dover Farm (8452 Hwy #311) at 10:30am.

Registrants are encouraged to car pool. You can fill out your interest/ need with regards to carpooling in the registration form for this event. We will connect people via email in June for those willing to carpool and those looking for a ride.

Please note that GPS and Google Maps sends people to the Loop of #311, and this is an incorrect location. The Farm is on the actual #311, on the way into Tatamagouche.

Note 2*** : Given the level of interest in this field trip, we are now exploring the possibility of renting a bus to get us all out there. Just making you aware, and more details to follow.
