Learn the basics in rug hooking by completing a small coaster. Joyce MacDonald will talk about backing, materials to hook with and finishing. Patterns will be on linen and hooked with wool yarn.  Two designs will be available. A square coaster that will help you practise pulling those loops and a round sheep coaster with the cutest little sheep face. The goal would be to have a finished hooked piece by the end of the session. Don't worry if you are not able to get the piece completed hooked in our allotted time, I will provide the final finishing details to you if required. As a good friend advised me,  " Life's short, enjoy good wool!”

Participants will have the option of borrowing a hoop/frame and hook from Joyce, or bringing their own. Please register with the appropriate ticket type so you have the equipment you need. Material kits will be provided by Joyce for a $25 fee, payable to Joyce on the day of the workshop.

Max number of participants: 10

Cost: $6 / person*

Materials Fee: $25 . This fee is payable to the instructor on the day of the class, by cash or e- transfer

Coffee and Tea are available on site, but please remember to bring your lunch.

If you have any questions about the hands-on, contact Lorna Ash at 902-240-7479

* Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable. If participants cancel or no show, they forfeit the registration fee. If ASH cancels or postpones the workshop, the workshop fee will be applied as a credit on participants accounts for future workshops.
