Field Trip to Taproot Fibre Labs

  • June 22, 2024
  • 9:45 AM - 12:00 PM
  • 1736 Church St. Port Williams

Registration

Join us for our year end field trip to see how Taproot Fibre Labs raises its flax and wool and makes it into beautiful yarn.

We will start with a visit to the flax field, and get a tour of the flax processing equipment barn at 1736 Church St. in Port Williams. We will then take a short 5 minute drive to the spinning mill location to see how the fibre is carded and spun into yarn. We will then have the opportunity to shop Taproot's lovely wool and linen wares in Noggins Farm Market. After our tour we will head to a local restaurant (TBA) for a group lunch.

There is no cost to register for this event.
If you wish to bring your family members along, you are more than welcome.

Given the distance to Taproot from HRM, carpooling is highly encouraged. If you are in need of a ride, or willing to carpool, please make note of this when you register for this event. Lorna Ash will be a matching members for carpooling by location.

If you have any questions, please contact Lorna at 902-240-7479
